Brown Dog Clay Studio is a husband and wife collaboration. They individually specialize in different techniques bringing their own interpretations and expressions. Marie brings her background as a Marine Biologist to her work which often includes references to marine life. She creates fossil impressions in tiles from ancient sharks and whales. She also creates modern fossil impressions from circuit boards that creates an interesting juxtaposition of materials. Randy specializes in Kintsugi and carbon capture firing techniques. His work also includes wheel thrown vessels.
